The Carlisle Diocesan Board of Finance (CDBF) is a registered charity responsible for managing the diocese’s financial resources and supporting the financial health of parishes.
Parish share
Parish share (also called the Common Fund or Diocesan Share) is the main way parishes contribute to the costs of ministry across the diocese. It funds clergy stipends, training, and diocesan support services.
For treasurers
The Finance team provides guidance, training and direct support to parish treasurers. Key resources include Gift Aid guidance, annual returns templates, and finance policies.
Annual accounts
The diocesan accounts are published annually and filed with the Charity Commission.
